I wish I could take the credit for being the genius who thought to bring goodie bags with me to the hospital for my nurses/midewife but.... sighHHH, I didn't.
During the two weeks leading up to my delivery date with Fair, I did do a lot of TV watching... I also decided to put thank you bags together to show my appreciation to the amazing people who I knew would support me as no one else could. With France, I had such a hard labor/recovery that saying, THANK YOU, to the nurses who got me through, didn't seem enough. I wanted to hug them and put them in my pocket because I was so thankful.
When Fair was born, and our nurses rotated out or their shift ended, I would give them a teary smile and a bag with the following...
My Goodie Bag
I used a bag like this to put all the following goodies inside:
- Madeleine Cookies (I baked them myself, and ate a couple to test them out..they were yum!)
- Thank you card
- Hand sanitizer
- Ghirardelli chocolates
These are just some ideas, but the possibilities are endless!
I hope you decide to add this to your hospital bag! I promise you won't regret it! We will never again experience the support we do from the medical professionals who help to bring us our little moons.
What's in your Goodie Bag?
